This is a notification issued as part of the state election procedures concerning Kurumathur Gram Panchayat. According to the notification dated September 6, 2024, the number of members to be elected directly in Kurumathur Gram Panchayat has been set at 20. Based on this, draft proposals were published to divide the panchayat into 20 electoral wards and to define the boundaries of each ward. People were given time until December 4, 2024, to submit objections and suggestions regarding these draft proposals. After reviewing the complaints and suggestions received and hearing the concerned parties, the final decision was made.
Accordingly, under Section 10 of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, the final order officially dividing Kurumathur Gram Panchayat into 20 electoral wards and determining their boundaries was issued.
